SUPER QUIZ was originally a quiz book titled "Isaac
Asimov presents SUPER QUIZ by Ken Fisher" (1982). The author, Ken Fisher
went on to write 3 additional books under the same title but numbered II, III
and IV. In addition 2 "Best of SUPER QUIZ" books were published along
with a "Canadian SUPER QUIZ". Three "SUPER QUIZ" games
(I, II, III) were produced by Waddington's of Canada starting in 1983. The
popular quizzes were eventually syndicated by the "North American
Syndicate" in the 1980's and they continue to be published in newspapers
across North America . The books, the games and
the syndicated quiz all feature a graduated 3-level format: Freshman Level,
Graduate Level and Ph. D. Level.
On January 1, 2018 SUPER QUIZ launches an exclusive website that will feature 3 graded questions per day. You must correctly answer the Freshman question to proceed to the Graduate and be correct again to progress to final Ph.D. question. Unlike current quiz websites there will be no multiple choice. Players are awarded 1, 2 or 3 points depending on the level of the question for each correct answer and receive 1 Super Point when 100 regular points are attained.
The length of each quiz session is 3 months and the "Top 5" regular point winners at the end of each session will receive 10-8-6-4-2 "Master Points".
